General
In general settings, you can set up the following:
SimBrief username
Cabby uses SimBrief to fetch all necessary flight data. To use this feature, you need to have a SimBrief account. Enter your SimBrief username as shown.
Please make sure you take your username from the correct place as shown below:
Boarding
You can use GSX to board passengers and cargo. If you have GSX installed, you can enable this feature. If you don't have GSX, you can use the manual boarding feature or timeout based boarding.
Other settings
Mute announcements when the user is not in the cockpit
When enabled, Cabby will not announce any messages when the camera in the simulator is not in the cockpit view.
Detect flight stage automatically
When enabled, Cabby will automatically detect the flight stage based on the simulator's data.
You can read more about automatic flight stage detection here.
Start immediately after the simulator connection is made
Cabby will start listening for the simulator data as soon as the connection is made. If this option is disabled, and you're not using GSX, you will need to start the flight manually.
Enable cabin voice effect
If enabled, the announcements will have a cabin voice effect.
Play chime sound before some announcements
Some announcements will be preceded by a chime sound. It makes the announcements more realistic.
Disable prompts while changing flight state manually
If you're changing the flight state manually, you can disable the prompts that appear when you change the state. Prompts were added to prevent accidental state changes.
Display ICAO codes instead of IATA codes for origin and destination
If enabled, Cabby will display ICAO codes instead of IATA codes for origin and destination.
IATA codes are shorter and more commonly used in the aviation industry (from the passenger perspective). However, ICAO codes are more unique and can be used to identify airports more accurately.
Save languages choice for future flights
By default Cabby will try to match your flight languages based on the departure and arrival airports. If you enable this option, Cabby will remember your language choice for future flights and you won't need to select the languages manually each time.
